I've been on a book buying binge lately. Not your novel type books, not educational books but books for their pure entertainment value. I told you about my latest lovely book titled Sisters on the Fly (here) and here is another book I'm really loving.
The New Handmade ...simple sewing for contemporary style. Its a fun book with simple yet really cute patterns. It has easy to read instructions as well and pictures (which is a must for this visual learner). I use sewing/crocheting as a way to stay productive in the evenings because I'm not a sit and watch T.V. kinda gal and my metal studio, being in the garage, is a no-mans land in the hot afternoons and evenings. (yes, it is hot here now).

So, I am offering this to one of my lovely blog followers. There aren't many of you out there :-) so your odds are good.

Leave me a comment and tell me your favorite summer read, either one you have read or one you are looking forward to loosing yourself in this summer. Please leave me a note where to get in touch with you (as my last giveaway winner still hasn't claimed her prize) and I'll randomly pick a winner this weekend.
Oh, how pretty!!! You did a GREAT job! I'm a self proclaimed 'bag-lady' so definitely count me in!
ReplyDeleteHmm, summer read? I don't know yet!!! I would like to read something by Randy Alcorn - not sure if he has anything new out. Hmmmm.ooooh, ohhhh, I know!! I want to read "In Defense of Food" I truly enjoyed the Omnivores Dilemma and would like to read the other one. :)

That is such a cute bag! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI have just finished up the semester, so I am now on summer break! *YAY!* (I'm a finally-returned-to-college-to-finish-my-bachelor's student.) Right now I'm reading a book by Beth Moore- So Long Insecurity. And after that, not sure what my next summer read will be.
Ohhhhh!!! I love it! I hope I win. I could really use a new book bag! For some reason, I get the urge every summer to read Anna Karenina and Crime and Punishment. I don't know why, but I go on a Russian kick in the summer. I also like to read the Harry Potter series in the summer too. I am a prolific reader, and love to re-read books. Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteOoops! I forgot to leave a way to get in touch with me. Other than through my blog, you can email me directly at lily.beth.smith@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteToo cute! Perfect for skipping out to sit in the park with a sammy and a good summer read. I love MaryJane's Outpost by MaryJane Butters. It's like a magazine in book form, and I bet you'd love it.

Nicely done =) I remember when I first started sewing, I used to sew up new projects all the time and I havn't done this in forever. I miss completing a new project. I might have to whip out one of my books soon.
ReplyDeleteAs for the giveaway, I honestly don't read much.. So no books but I will be reading the newspaper daily as usual and magazines! You may contact me through ETSY should I be the lucky winner =)
